Here is my work so far since the start. Been bombarding the forums with questions so I could build this baby. I still don't have the crew gear plus there are some holes for the pioneer tools that were filled in with putty but not yet painted. For some reason I missed filing them in earlier in the build.

it looks great so far. second pic shows barrel really well! good job with the camo.
i also like the tracks on the side of the tank. does that replace the use of plated armor?

Thr tracks are actually used as supplemental armor. I guess it is the same as adding additional armor plates

Alan, good job.however if the tracks were just added to the side of the tank from the crew,i dont think they should show a worn look.i think they should only be weathered,,HTH,rgdsjim

crossed my mind too, but the crew could have scavenged a disabled tank for parts and reinforcement material. just an idea

I have pics of track both warn and new. I cna only guess that worn ones were old ones like GI Babycakes stated. I tested it by doing one side with and one side without. I liked the looked of the worn better.
