Guys
Here are the first pics of my Accurate Armour Challenger CrARRV.
This is my first venture into resin conversions so it's gonna be interesting. If you look in the lower pic you'll see on the left hand end of the model where I've got to fill an airbubble.

Really interesting project you started here. I hope you'll be able to complete it before campaign goes to its end as it seems a huge thing to build.
Do you use the Tamiya Challenger for your model ? How is the fit of the conversion ?

Interesting subject, even if a bit too modern for my usual sphere of interest. I look forward to seeing more of this.

Davy, Thanks for the link to the pics mate they're most useful.
Bison, Yes it is based on the Tamiya Challenger 1 hull and the fit of parts is great so far.
Dave, yes it is an interesting subject and looks as though it'll be quite impressive when finished.

Howdy Stormbringer,
Your Chally-based CrARRV is a pretty nifty choice for this Campaign. And as bison has already mentioned, it's quite a "...huge thing to build...."
Although, after looking thru your Gallery pics and comin' across this one, I'd aso have to say you've got your 'weathering' chore's ahead of you as well.....
Tread.
Oh, and BTW......who are these proud looking buggers??

Hi Tread
As my weathering skills are not very good and I'm planning on doing a Desert Storm machine I thought I'd do it in reasonably new condition.
The Rhino's (as they are known) were shipped straight from the factory to the Gulf and straight into action.

Those are members of 156(v) transport Regt RLC I'm the one in the green beret (AGC) although I've now re-badged back to the RLC that was taken the day we left for home hence why we were all smug looking

Looks like you have a very good start to a difficult project. Can't wait to see what you do with it.

So far everything seems ok, there's a bit of cleaning up of resin parts to do and some of the parts have small bits broken off (I've managed to repair those).
This is my first attempt at a major resin conversion so I'm taking things slow and easy. Watch this space for more progress pics.
