So I'm getting close to finishing 1 - M113/A2 and 1- M577/A1? ( I'm refitting her to use external fuel cells, so does that make her an A2?).
Now I'm trying to figure out colours. Black I got covered, but what about the O.D.? I want to use acrylics so??? what say you out there? ( I seem to remember just getting a can of CIL enamel and getting the OD close enough! but that was in the reserves and not Reg force where all the cash is kept!)
The other scheme is for the '577 and I'm thinking about the tri colour scheme used in the '80's so I'm looking for an eq. for FS34098 Khaki and FS 34172 Green, the third colour is black.
Any help out the, thanks in advance
Cheers

Hey Joker,
I just finished a three color scheme and the colors I used were Model masters acryl: Black, Olive Drab and for the other green color I used Testors enamil (the small bottle) OD green. I dry brushed al three colors heavily after spraying. Have a look at models on display on the main page to see it.

I don't recall ever seeing external fuel tanks on our M557s before the recent A3 upgrade. Can anybody out there comment? I hope to have access to one later in the Spring so I will take a whack of photos.

Paul, please take lots . My 577 and radios arrived yesterday from Hong Kong and I need as much reference material as I can get for the interior. Now to find an engine somewhere for it as well as lots of styrene.

There are some good M577 interior shots on Prime Portal. Not Canadian though but good enough to build the basic shelving and tables. Not sure what the Canadian put in their M577s.
I can spare the complete interior guts from one of my many Tamiya M113 kits if you need it.

Hi Paul , we had 577's with the external tanks prior the -A3 upgrade. They were painted overall green, though at least one was painted in green and black.
