List your favourite Canadian Military Pattern of the era (and if you are planning on building it).

For me, I would have to say the HUW as my father was a Jimmy in one through Holland and Germany and in the Army of Occupation after. One of these days I will get the Plus Model conversion and do it up.

Chevy C60- so versatile. I have 4 and there are probably loads more to go. So many trucks, so little time.

I like the 13 cab FATs. Very boxy little buggers.

The C8s are pretty cool as well. The cab always seems to overwhelm the tiny body on the 8 cwts. Sort of like the proportions of a baby's head to its body. :-)

I have a Chev FAT in progress (slow, painful progress to be sure) and am building it as a 25 pdr gun tower from the 166 (Nfld) Field Regiment in Tunisia, 1943.

I did the Ford FAT already Paul and it was very enjoyable. I used the mickey mouse cam on it and I think it turned out OK. I have a couple of the Chevs on the shelf and I keep changing my mind between doing one as a FAT or using them all as bases for conversions. There are a bunch of C60's I wouldnt mind doing.....plus the HUW and HUP. I agree about the C8, cool wee truck! The two CMP's shown here by our esteemed colleagues look fantastic. I have seen that resin C15A armoured truck on the manufacturers website, but I think I would have to remortgage my house to get it!

Cheers

I have the commanders Otter that I hope to use to scratch a C15 armoured truck someday when I retire. The C15 is definately my favorite.

I built the Otter a long time ago and also managed to get a spare otter hull from Ted Paris before I parted ways with him. It is destined for exactly that same purpose. BTW this month's Tankette mag from the MAFVA has a nice set of 1/35 drawings of the C15TA in the centrespread.

Hey Paul,

I belive it was your build of the Otter that inspired me to get my hands on one. Is there any way that someone could get the drawings? I have the Bradford drawings and QM depots storage book but am always looking for more.

Luc,

This kit is well out of production so you would have to look on Ebay or keep a close eye on the boards to see if someone is selling one. If I see one for sale I will drop you a line.

Cheers

Sorry Cliff, checked everything I have, nothing on it but I do have a friend who might know or have something
on it,hopefully. It is rather a different looking cmp, maybe an SAS desert truck? We`ll find out.
