So last night, I got the old 1/35 Verlinden water line kits of the Seehund and Neger kits out and figured I could sneak these under the radar of Skipper, and surprise him.... :-) :-) :-)
Really are totally simple builds, and really had no problems, took about 3 hours of watch time to put together, (except the clear domes)
So I pack them up (I did these at work) and decide to bring them home this morning, figure I'll airbrush them up real fast over my days off, make up a little base with some water... La-De-Da... done!!!!
Well it seems that resin and copper photo-etch seem to expand and contract at different rates, and that 4 degrees F, does strange things to attached photo-etched decking. Because the copper photo-etched deck managed to pop up in the middle, and buckle. I managed to finish popping it off, and straightening it out, before bed this morning.
But low and behold, the deck that fit last night, without a problem, now seems to be too long to fit again..... not an insurmountable problem..... just something I found interesting.
