Hey Guys,
Here are a few progress pics of my Sherman V (5). I have used a DML early low bustle turret but I have totaly reshaped the back end as it was totaly wrong. I have also added texture and Casting numbers/marks. The Commanders hatch interior details are scratchbuilt and a few fittings from Aber, Formations and TMD. The lower hull weld beads have all be re added from styrene rod. Formations provides the Final drive housing and the track skids are from Aber (these make all the difference). Still a long way to go but things are starting to shape up.
Cheers,
Bryan

That looks so great! Such detail. I am preparing my assembly line to start knocking off mass Shermans next month.

Great job Bryan. All that detail added - really can't wait to see this finished. I run out of patience and eyesight long before I've got to that stage!

Bryan

I'm impressed with the detail you've added. The standard has been set and now we must all strive to achieve it.

Bryan ...What more to say ...excellent as usual ...I'd like to see what you did to the back of the turret a bit more..(just call me nosey) . With so many nice resin turrets out there it is hard to not just replace the kit one...Impressive work so far ...You know what I'm the most envious about this build so far.....How did you get those Aber skids all so perfect????

keep the pictures coming

Hey Rick,
Thanks buddy The aber skids are actually pretty easy to bend I have a round file that is the perfect diameter for me to bend it around. The rear of the turret took quite a bit of sanding to get the proper shape , I dunno what DML were thinking on that one. I also Re positioned the pistol port and puttied it in. I was tempted to use a Formations turret but I I figured I could the 25 bucks into something else since it really isnt that hard to correct the dml offering.
Cheers,
Bryan
