I am alive....Age 2 has a way of keeping one on their toes In between i have found time to start my build. The M31 Recovery Vehicle. Tamiya Lee and Caliber 35 conversion. Great kit cept for the one side box missing....so for the first time ever..( Thanks Roo, Dave and to many to mention) I scatch built the box using the kit part as a guide...A harrowing time I had..but I managed.Finicky ,yet great kit...time will tell.

Way to go John. I'm not surprised that you did a good job on the scratch build. You will find yourself wanting to scratch more items as you go. It is a very satisfying feeling to build something from nothing. You have the talent so now build up your confidence and let your minds eye guide your hands. The vehicle is looking great. Looking forward to seeing more progress shots soon.

Looks great so far Did that conversion come with the correct rear hull exhaust plate? I know the Tamiya M3 Lee has the diesel engine version for the exhaust plate

Chad, Yes the kit does have the correct exhaust. Its a very extensive kit with very small parts..lol One thing..the corrected 5 spoke wheels are also Caliber 35..but a seperate kit.
