Ok guys I need some help. I am working on my Leopard C2 and I am trying to get the C6 MG together. My problem is from the pics in the instructions and the few pictures I have of the tank I can't figure out how that all goes together.
Anyone got advice or some good detailed pictures of that mount?
Thanks!

My suggestion would be to send a private message to trackjam. He is very knowledgable on all things Canadian.

Speaking as an ex-Leopard C1 Commander and Leopard Gunnery Instructor there are several things to be aware of about the C6 mount.
There were two different types of ammo boxes. An open bracket style that the 7.62 mm ammo box slid into, and the later modified .50 cal box that held the entire link belt of 7.62 mm. Both were in use with the C1 and C2.
All Leopard kits are missing details on the actual hatch ring mount. Missing is the locking pin and chain, the friction locking bar, and the machine gun mount locking clamp. The locking clamp is the "hook like" part attached to the mounting skate. It's job is to lock the spring loaded mount into a travel configuration. The actual mount is spring loaded and will stick straight up without a C6 mounted and not locked in.
There should also be locking holes in the hatch rings where the mount can be locked into using the pin.
The photos of Dan Hay's on Prime Portal and those that Jim has posted show all these details of the mount and the hatch ring holes.
