OK Bros,
Here is a first shot of an Egyptian IS-IIM painted over the weekend at a trip to a bro's house.
The klit is the new Trumpeter straight out of the box. The missing part is the tracks as the klits tracks SUCK! Stiff and too big. Need to get a Fruili or MK set completed, but have to wait for the mail to deliver them.
Here is the Yahoo group that the first pic is located: Chris's Panzer Models
And here is a pic:
Later,
Dave

Dave, I wish I had something constructive to say about the model but, I don't know enough about Egyptian armors, so I'm limited in that arena.
Could we have some more photos? Other angles? It would help if I could see more of the model.

Dave,
I really like the color of the sand tan for the tank. The only thing I can put a comment on is, since it is in the desert and the hot sun wouldn't it, The paint job, be more on the faded than it already is? I think that is what I am trying to say. long day, sorry.

Hey guys,
First off, thanks for the comments. Yes, the paint was shaded/lightened before the washes/filters.
Ken, yes, there will be more pics coming and may be up here at this site or at Track-Link. Not sure right now which will get the better.
Right now, I am working on the tracks. Stupidly found one set in the closet so they are on the working bench.
Later,
Dave

Hey dave nice work . as to the paint job My understanding was diferent vehicles aged differently depending on how much time spent in the dessert. The ones at latrun back in the early 80's were almost white or close to polly s doped linnen. and DAve(ss-74) the ring pivots over the loaders half of the hatches and allows him to swivel the MG 360 deg. w/o gettin out f the hatch or rotating the turret. Let me seee if I have any shots from the latrun ones.

Very nice work that you can be proud of. As for feedback, the only thing I can see, is on the image on the other web site with the tank riders. The riders clothing is a bit bright. For riding in the desert I would expect to it covered in dust a bit more. Now I can see a desire to say 'hey this is a nice paint job, I'm not dirtying it up!'
