Aha! I finally got my finger out and tackled the Dragon Firefly Vc tracks!
Now I'm trying to find a reference pic with visible names/ numbers and so on, coz I've got all this spare track thats screaming to be added!
Speaking of which, can any of you guys shed some light on this one (if the link works)
http://armor.kiev.ua/Tanks/WWII/Sherman/firefly_3.jpg
which appears to have various links including PzIV tracks added as well as some planking?
Anyway, I'd appreciate any help/suggestions for where to find a good view of a firefly Vc with the extra bins on the bustle and a rear mounted stowage bin (most of the good shots I have either don't have the extra turret bin, or are very unclear...).
I'll post pics of progress when I remember!
Cheers,
MC

Well I was hoping to get a Grizzly done but as usual I am too slow a builder. I will see if I can pull something out of the box for the end date but I doubt it. Everyone else seems to be doing really well, especially Jim Caddo. You da man Jim getting all of those kits done!

Slowly working on Leo C2. Not enough to show off yet. I'm a master procrastinator.

Hey Jim,
The photos of your Cougar in your gallery are excellent. The SALH recruiting board is hillarious....but so true.
I saw a KOCR Cougar here in Calgary with a very similar sign driving around to all the movie theatres on a big recruiting drive a few months ago.
I remember hand painting that three colour camouflage on the Cougars when I was with "B" Squadron, LdSH(RC)...to make them look new for parades....even better was stripping the interiors to repaint them....you found alot of kit that was thought lost under the turret floor.
Good job on the build....did you do any modifications other than the tires?

Well, so far I've got 2 Recce jeeps ( BCR's 1980-81; a '74 and a '67 pattern ) 90% complete, I'm waiting for my FN's to arrive from Australia to finish and the just weathering.
My M113 A2 and M577 (A nothing) are waiting for Diehl track from AFV Club, but the've been decaled up and then the'll be done.
I probably won't get the Cougar and Lynx done by the deadline, although the Lynx has all the bits together in one place. And the Faun....I don't know where to start, still getiing info, maybe for next years Canadian theme.
Cheers

Hi- firefly Vc is at the stage of waiting for decals (on order) and 'spare' track. Then it'll get a weathering.
I've just noticed (of course!) that the bow mg plug armour does not sit properly -as this is going to be hidden I'm not that worried, but I can't figure out why(except that I've somehow set it too high...).
Just one question to you Firefly buffs out there- would it be more likely that a Canadian Firefly had the extra armour plate in front of the driver and gunner hatches?
