I guess I will get this started if Moezilla doesnt mind!
Well, her I am! This was taken not to long ago while my unit was out on a weekend drill in Brownwood, Texas. This was a two night FTX. It was damn cold that weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Since I made Sergent and took over the section, I am now responsible for all the vehicles in my section. These are just 2 of the vehicles I am signed for.
When I built this Hummer, I was still a Specialist and our Division was the 49th Armored Div. Since then, we have changed to the 36th Infantry Div and now my name is on the passenger side window as the Section Chief.
This is just one of the 3 TOW Huts I am signed for. The silver foil you see is shipping foil that is placed on certain parts of the hut. We never got a round to removing it all.

Very good. What other vehicles are under your command and do you plan on building any of them? I am assuming you scratchbuilt the TOW hut. Also, if you wanted to add the canvas doors and windows, there is a clear glue called Krystal Klar (Klar is "clear" in German). Glob it on one side of the window and spread it across the gap of the window creating a thin layer of glue. It takes a while to set. One thing you make need to do is remove the excess glue while it is setting. Here is an example of this on a plastic "canvas" door.

Jeff,
I have a total 6 vehicles that I am signed for. One M988 4 seater Hummer, 4 M1037 Hummers that carry the shelter. Right now, I only have 2 shelters. I had to give one up to the Indiana National Guard to take overseas and another M1037 didnt come with a shelter. I also have one 5 ton with a large shelter on the back.
These where done after I came back from an annual AT at Ft. Hood. We left the doors off becuase it was so hot. I couldnt find the pictures I took out there, so I just posted the one fro the motor pool.
The Hut is a slightly modified Real Models kit.
I have one more on the work bench. It is our 5 ton with a shelter on the back.

Epi,
I will start one as soon as I can locate one. Hopefully my Det. to Japan will be fruitful.
Chief
P.S. Does an A-6 Intruder count? That's what I first started on.

Epi,
Which one are you inquiring about? The one in the picture is the current A/C I fly in. Its an EP-3E (SSIP) Reconnaissance aircraft version of the P-3 orion. The A-6 Intruder was a Medium Attack Bomber (IMHO it was the best that ever was) that has since been retired from service. It could carry up to thirty 500lb bombs and put them anywhere, in any weather, day or night. They were loud too!

It's funny you posted this Pete, I was just heading in here to add an update to the original thread. A PM has been sent in asking about getting the gallery setup for this campaign so as soon as that's ready, people can start posting their stuff.
We're up to 26 members so far for this campaign, I'm very pleased to see a great turnout thus far and anticipate more as the year progresses.
Great pics Pete! I have to see what I can dig up and will have to get me a scanner to scan them in so I can post them up there.
This will be what I'll be building with the addition of ERA probably, we had both with and w/out ERA before I got out in '89.

Chief, you can get Hasagawa's P-3 (that is the only P-3 I know of, though I am sure there are others) and scratchbuild the SAR (?) housing and radar dome and other outer features.
But your best bet is an A-6. There are a handful of Intruder models.
Jeff
PS: Epi, the Ind. National Guard unit you are talking about, is that the Transportation Co that deployed to Afghanistan this summer?

Could be, not sure as this was just a pic I found on the web and it's claimed to be a USMC M60A1 (which it definitely appears to be) and it does look suspiciously like 29 Palms. Could be NTC though, not sure as I never had the opportunity to get up there for training despite several times that it was spoken about.
I wanted to get up there in the worst way, it's the only place you can really go force on force in a 'realistic' environment and LEARN.
