What do you guys think about any of these for the Medics campaign? The numbers next to each are for identification purposes. If you like any, let me know and with which number.

Howdy Jeff,

I think the idea of using the RedCross is a good one indeed, and makes perfect sense (right?)

As far as input goes I have to say I personally like the Red Cross when it is depicted inside a white circle (as you see on most vehicles it adorns).

Your Ribbon looks pretty cool because it reminds me of a bandage (that's meant as a compliment ).

I've got a base Ribbon I already put together as one of my "Incoming!!" Campaign options. It might look good with a nice Red Cross in the middle of it if your interested.....

I'd post a pic of it here (it's quite a bit different from yours), but with this new 'Kit Makers' Gallery setup
I can't make heads or tails of how to post a photo now........

Tread.

Since the ribbon is a rectangle, I am not sure if I can make the circle cross work given the size of the ribbon. But upon thinking about it, lets see if I can make is work on a medal. I will see what I can do.

As for the new gallery, I haven't been able to (or even tried) to import an image. Getting the image from the gallery was done going through the HTML code and a little quessing. I doubt in the future, we will be able required to go through HTML code to post our image.

I like the cross plain red on white, without the black outline (figure 1)... As far as the galleries go, by highlighting the middle of the top part of the page, it reveals "this service temporarily down for maintainance". I hope we wouldn't have to use HTML code, might as well write it in DOS, for me.

Figure 1 is my pick, and I agree with the bandage comparison. Nice!
Cheers,
Mike

Mike and all - Just for clarification (if there need be) on the "black outline" there is a light gray outline on all of them for viewing purposes. It will not be there in the final selection (unless all of you want it to ). For 4-9 there is a shadow on the right and bottom sides for a 3D look. Thanks for your input.

I was able to get a medal-style award done, but until I can find a way to upload the image - either here or somewhere else - I will not be able to display it.

just an idea but what about making it a small red cross and a red crescent in the same ribbon?
more universal for a medic campaign

best regards

With a great suggestion from Graywolf, I redesigned the Medic ribbon suggestion to include a crescent. The bottom three are from the originals for comparison.

Treadhead also made a suggestion at having a medal instead of a ribbon for the award. This, like the ribbon idea, would be for everyone who completed an entry.

This medal is an idea for the best entry award.

Chime in your ideas, I am getting the feeling I am talking to myself here

Personally ..i like Graywolfs idea..but ..given the size of the ribbon..the cresent to me just looks like a big C+...but i do like the medals you presented. I personally like #8 for the campaign award...and #H is my pic for the best entry award...Great job Jeff..

Playing devil's advocate, in the language of grades, "C" means average. And given its a C+ that means it better than average. Also, this would be for everyone, so, compared to the best entry, each entry would be relatively average. That is the deep philosophical view

In that case, would a +C be alright? I am trying to get both sides here. It is your ribbon and medal too.
