I'm in for the Nam campaign. I have the following Tamiya kits to pick from:
M48A3
PBR
M113 ACAV
and that M42 Duster if it ever gets released.
Keep the information coming as this develops further.

Ok so i was Talking to Jo, and he came up with the idea that if the campaign is going for around 2 years, some people might start to feel that the campaign is going for too long.
SO, his idea was that once u finish your entry, you get your ribbon straight away, that way come the end of one year we dont get anyone asking about when the campaigns gonna end, as they should have their ribbon and be satisfied.
so im quite happy to go with Jo's idea.
He also had the other idea that if you complete more than one entry you get a slightly modified ribbon, we will go with that as well.
As for the ribbons themselves, im thinking we make them close to identical to the Vietnam campaign medals the US and australian/new zealanders got, if we can blend the two into one ribbon, i think this would be really kool, if there are any objections to this sing out, mainly the vet's themselves, Francois, Dave Willet, are you blokes ok with this?
Anyway let me know what you all think.
Cheers

Here is my .02
I think a modified version of the Vietnam Service ribbon is a good starting point. I believe the "original" ribbon is only deserved by the guys and gals that did the time in the Vietnam War (thanks for your sacrifice guys and gals).
Sounds like you have a good idea David! Keep up the great work.

Brent i agree with you on the ribbons, thats why i said they will not be identical and would be a blend of both types to make them even more different.
Cheers

Hey Dave the deliveries of the UH-1N began in 1970, they went to the USAF, NAVY and US Marines. A total of 294 were produced. After going through 4 books including "Vietnam Choppers" helicopters in battle 1950 - 1975, I was unable to find any 'N' model in Vietnam.

Mark, i'm sure you know that Panda has the UH-1D, also Monogram has the 1/48 Huey Hog and a 1/32 AH-1G Cobra kits out now. Ebay has many Hueys up for auction. And if your not sure if you want to build your kit, you can always put it up for trade here and maybe a member might have one to trade with you.

I like the ideas Davey, I think that you need to get this one written up and submitted for approval. I for one can't wait to get started. I have got a bunch of subjects to build for this campaign.

David,
About the ribbon for this campaign, as your proposal to blend the US and australian/new zealanders ribbons medals together, that is OK for me.
As Dave Willet said here : "... I for one can't wait to get started. I have got a bunch of subjects to build for this campaign. "
So we can begin to build Nam stuffs now, can't we?
Cheers

I´m interested too in the Nam campaign.
Can someone tell me how to post photos in the topics, my gallery and in my workbench photos? I have some questions and is better to post an image with the problem I have.
Thanks in advance.

Just joined as well, a jungle ambush dio using Dragons LRRP & Vietcong figures. This is the first of two dioramas being built for a disabled ex-serviceman.
