This is some in progress shots on a 54mm Flemish Mercenary Resin Kit by MModels. This will be my entry fot the Hastings to Bosworth Field campaign. I am painting him in Vallejo Acrylics. I still have a lot of work to do on this, but any comments and or suggestions are welcome...

Hola Mary!
Not much to say yet as nothing really looks finished except the armor plates. Make sure you give the chain mail some dark washes, chain mail was very a very dull dark steel color. To spice it up some you can add some very gentle rust streaks in it as well.
Keep it up!

Coming along nicely. Hard to comment as I dont know what if finished and what is in progress.
One thing stands out to me is his red lips. In pic 3 this is very apparent.
A good tip I read by Mark Bannerman for doing lips, is to add some wine colour into the face base colour and paint the bottom lip only with this. then add some white to this colour and adda little dot in the middle. Ive used this method since and it works well, giving the lips the colour they need, but never looking feminine.
Ive added a link to these articles as they are very useful IMO.

Mary u seem to be on the good way . I think Anders advice on chain mail will improve some hte look of it. Ur metals do look good also.
Plasticbattles tip on the lips is also useful. Waiting to see more painting on the clothe so the figure will start to shape up . Keep the good work
