Hi all,

I have a problem. Some time ago, one of my airbrush parts just broke in 2 pieces. Without an airbrush I can't finish some of my campaign entries. These campaigns are in the "danger-zone"

- Mud, Sweat and Gears
- Dive Dive Dive
- VE- Victory in Europe

I just called my supplier and he said it's gonna take a while to get the part here because it's not a part they have on stock and it's got to be ordered in Japan (and it's probably gonna cost me a lot of money)

I'm truly sorry, I hope I get the replacement a little bit in time, maybe I can finish my entries anyway. But if not, you know why. I feel very bad about this....

I'll let you all know when I'm back in the race again!

Cheers,
Martin

I can't achieve the same results with paintbrushes as with an airbrush. I can paint the models by hand, but I won't like the results then. Would be a waste of models.

I'm now busy on figures and dioramas. Maybe I can work out something for the VE campaign, by using figures only. MSG and DDD need an airbrush however. The VIIC uboat is too large for handpainting and the M88 need to be airbrushed.

Sorry,
Martin

In that case I take back the comment Martin, I guess I just take it for granted that everybody can get good results that way! I've never owned an airbrush, in fact I've only used one once in my life.

Yeah well I've got my AB only 4 months now and I see a really big difference in my new and old models.....I think an AB works just better for me than handpainting.

I think everyone should work like her or she likes it best.....for me that is the AB

What brand of AB do you own? Dixie Art Supply is air brush central for Paasche, Badger, Iwata and Thayer & Chandler. Maybe they have your part....

I have the tamiya HG superfine.....

The part is already ordered by the owner of the hobby shop where I bought the AB. He sais it's really gonna take some time, but I think it can be done much and much faster
