Heres my just about finished Skybow M41A3 in US Army markings. I got carried away with the Humbrol Paint/thinner mix I was trying out and thus the very dusty apperance the model has. I used MiG Pigments on the muffers. Feel free to ask me any questions u might have

i'm thinking of getting one of these, what are they like to put together? have you had any problems with this kit at all?
Its a shake and bake kit...I barely had to use any of the PE I got for it!

I really like the finish. It really reminds me of how our M1's looked back in '85. They were also plain old green. The tools also look great. They look very realistic. I wouldn't worry too much about weathering them because our tanks didn't look much better than that after coming from the wash rack ! In the units I was in, the tools were only put on when leaving the motor pool. (For those vehicles that had exteior mounts for the pioneer tools) They were also kept clean. The only thing I would maybe work on would be to add some rust color to the metal parts of the track. I also really like the mantlet cover, just great. The jerry can and it's tie down look great too. Very nice work.

Looks like a good build overall, but you may be right on haviong overdone the "dust"
For the amount of dust you have, the tires are way too uniform black. The rims, which shuld have the greatest amount of dust appear to have the least.
The inside of the exhaust looks like it's OD, lay some flat black in there and add some black pastels for some exhaust stain.
The rust on the exhausut shields looks really good but the exhaust itself looks too orange for my eye.
