Wow! The weathering of the vehicle is superb! Why can't I weather something like that?
Is this an "in action" dio? Did that vehicle nosedived in the snow? You caught it "in actio" perfectly, with the gun and the snow splash moving outward of the dio base.
The person though, if he is depicted as falling out of the vehicle, has an unnatural pose. It should look as if he's flailing or jumping out.
Other than that, the dio is superb! I love it.

Wow...
It has a lot of action and very well executed. How have you made the splashing snow? It looks pretty cool
Can you provide us more detail shots?

I love it but I don't know are they being thrown out of the vehicle which it think they are by the snow and mud mud water flying, or are they getting out. They just don't look in positions for being tossed out of the truck.

Capturing action in progress is probably one of the hardest things to model, and I think that you've made a superb job of it. Sure there are some issues with the pose of the figure and maybe the gun would be lifted up a little with the jolt from the crash, but in my book you get 11 out of 10 for even attempting this diorama!!!

LIGHTS! CAMERA! ACTION!
Wow what a shot, you've done a great job of conveying action in this scene. I like your weathering on the units there great and the snow and mud are both perfect.. I do agree about the figures, but it looks to me like a simple fix of swinging both the driver & passenger toward the front of each door, giving the impression of the sudden slap into a snow drift . MHO
Well Done
Bruce

Looks fantastic!
However, since this is the Rivet Review Board I have to give some criticism...
Now for my questions... :-)
I look forward to seeing more.
However, since this is the Rivet Review Board I have to give some criticism...
- I am struggling to follow the story line and am not quite sure what's going on - maybe it's cos I'm only on my 2nd cup of coffee... - so my comments below all depend on whether my interpretation is correct...
- If the truck is still ploughing into the snow drift, wouldn't the momentum cause the doors to be more closed; couldn't the lads have to be holding the doors open to prevent them from slamming closed from the momentum?
- The lads look a bit too clean.
- The snow looks a bit too "clean"... perhaps some dirt mixed in?
Now for my questions... :-)
- How did you do the splashing (not sure if it's the correct term) snow and mud? I want to try something similar for sand.
- Can we please have some pictures from the right and rear of the dio?
I look forward to seeing more.

EDIT BIT>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Thanks guys....on the technique I used.....you can see from here
http://smallshopeu.com/Water_Panther%20photo%20page.htm
(my company site...so a warning if it offends )....then I just added mud based on MMP Powders instead of water to make the flying dirt !!...the snow was also done this way too....and yes it is 'that stuff"....
The Dio shows them jumping out at the point of ambush BTW...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ho hum....that will teach me to use a Tamiya decal ....
I have changed a few things based on what was said...
I have re done the slogan, so "Crush the Fascists" it is
Added weapons and personal kit to see some more animation in the figs..slight reposition as well
Added a box splitting open with shells falling out to add a little more movement to the truck bed area....now how the heck do I do Steam from the rad ...
Will post more dtailed pics later ...
BTW...if you look at pic no 4 you can see a Panzerfaust round just skimming the top of the truck....thats why they are jumping out....just as they slew off the road...well thats the plan anyway ...I will have better pics of that soon as well
Cheers for you help guys
