Just wanted to check the interest in an World Rally Car campaign.
Know that there is a NASCAR campaign going on right now, but I like WRC's better...
So, anyone interested? No idea in arranging a campaign if I'm going to be the only participant.

I bet if you ask the campaign leader, he would probably allow non-NASCAR race cars into the build. I think NASCAR was chosen because a large population of our site is from the US, but logically it should include non-US style race cars. This would be a better solution than to begin a competing campaign that may pull builders away from each campaign.Just wanted to check the interest in an World Rally Car campaign.

Will see what kind of interest I will get. And as you point out, NASCAR is big in the US, but I think rallying is quite as big in the rest of the world.

I understand that WRC is big, my comments meant that this is mainly a US based site (with a large international population) and that the campaign leader is an American who is a fan of American motor sports and was probably only thinking of American racing when he initiated the campaign. He probably would have included international racing types had someone asked when the campaign was forming.

Hey Tom I won't mind if we combine non-Nascar race cars in to the campaign. If you get enough intrest in the WRC then go for it, if not lets talk about combining that class as well as Cart and F1's
Ok a show of hands here...any ideas..

Let's give it a couple of days and see what kind of interest we get. Right now there are only 2 persons that have stated that they want in (and one is me)
Otherwise I would gladly join the Armorama 500 if you are willing to make changes to the rules.

I recall actually having requested the acceptance of WRC, JTCC, DTM, F1 and cart cars back when the idea was still forming.

WRC, F1, NASCAR, LeMans, CanAm, TransAm, IMSA, whatever!! If we go this route count me in for sure! Especially if there is no specific time period!
I never served in the armed forces (perhaps my only regret in life) but I did race cars for a few years!
I have several kits in the stash that would love to be a part of this one! But then again, there are some ideas that just popped into mind that I may have to go out and spend $s for.
Sounds fun!

Hey guys.
I think that this is a marvelous idea, but why not have the Armorama 500 include EVRY type of car? Meanig lowriders, tuners, and even station wagons and stull like that?
I think it would be cool to make a rally Smart car! :-) :-)

I think I will join - I have a Safari Subaru that I wanted to build but need something to get me going. I found that I can't easily switch back to cars after doing military modeling for a while.
