Greeting fellas..

I have this idea quite some time now. I have my 1/48 Mig-29 for almost a year now. With it, I plan to build the Malaysian Mig-29N. Aftermarket decals and conversion set are ready in place. Just waiting for the right time to build it and I thought building alone was no fun and I want to spread the news and share the building experience to Armorama members.
I’m proposing a new campaign. Don’t know the right name yet but right now I called it The Export Version campaign.(until a new name is chosen). Below is some campaign outline and overview. I’m hoping to get as many participant in this campaign. Please state your name if you want to join this campaign. Campaign leader will be appointed later before approval. Thanks.

The main outline is:
To build any modern jet combat aircraft, any scale. This aircraft must be finished to represent the export version of the aircraft, or represent the aircraft that in use by another country other then the origin country of the aircraft. Examples are RMAF Mig-29N, SU-30MKM, Indian Su-30, Singapore A4 and F-16D, Japanese F-15 and many other country that used combat aircraft which is made from another country.

Duration
Hopefully the campaign can be completed in 3 months or less. Starting date would be somewhere on June or July. This also subject to availability of campaign slots and participants.
The Rules and Regulations:
There are no restrictions to scale, nation, or era. Awards will be given out to anyone finishing an entry at the end of the campaign. You can also build as many subjects as you choose. Diorama's are welcome to, and encouraged!

I think you might want to hold off a little bit and wait for a good portion, some are ending in the next month or so. That way you give them some time to come down off that model building rush.

as mentioned this is only a proposal and the start date is proposed to be somewhere in June or July... or perhaps maybe latter.. me to have been participating in to many campaign just like others here. Just to give ideas on new future campaign,.

For others, pls recommend (i need ideas) on the appropriate starting date.

I like the idea. There was an idea with aircraft last week by BigTon titled "Lease with an option to buy." I suggested expanding to include exported aircraft (and possibly vehicles). Maybe working in conjunction with him, you could work something else. As for a start date, later this year, say August or later, would be alright.
