I would adjust the scale range just slightly. I would state that it is geared towards either 1/76 or 1/72 but other scales are welcome. I know several sci-fi kits that are slightly larger than 1/72 scale (around 1/60 scale).
Then there comes the aircraft and ship predicament. A 1/72 scale aircraft isn't truly "Braille Scale" but rather the most popular scale for aircraft builders. Secondly, if a ship builder builds the Revell U-boat, S-boat or E-boat, are those really "Braille Scale" items?
Don't get me wrong, I am an avid Braille Scale builder, but these are just things to consider.

Count me in for 18-25mm fantasy figs, if that's O.K.

Rob, this also troubled me and in the initial proposal I did mention it:
"I know the colloquial / slang ‘Braille’ is applied mainly to armour in the scales 1/76 & 1/72, but for this campaign so as to allow other Genre we apply it to all scales from 1/72 and below.
Now I also know that while 1/72 is Braille to armour etc, for an aircraft carrier etc… it is huge!"
Maybe if we redo Rule 1 as follows:
Scales only to a maximum of 1/72 scale, in any genre, will be allowed, remember the ‘Spirit’ of the build, NO 1/72 scale U-Boats, Flower Class corvettes etc. Other scales will be considered on application.
Mainly owing to small-scale aircraft at present being (except for a handful) totally rubbish, I feel that 1/72 scale aircraft are small enough to include. I doubt anyone will be entering a 1/72 scale Hercules.
I want the build to go ahead as smoothly as possible, and don’t want to get hung up on too many rules.
We also could make it an Armour build only, aimed at 1/76 or 1/72, True Braille scale?

I would not suggest sticking to armor only. Perhaps "ground support equipment". This would allow small aircraft like a helicopter or FAC, landing craft, sci-fi items, fantasy figures, etc.

I'd be interested in this campaign too since I just picked up my first braille scale kit and haven't built it yet. Would give me a reason to build it other than just for fun.

I'm in for a 1/72 armor piece. I wouldn't mind doing an aircraft model in that scale as well, if its within the rules. I like to mix up my genre's

Hi, anybody else want to get in on the Scale proposal?
Sabot has a valid point, ‘Braille Scale’ usually applies to armour in the scales 1/76 & 1/72 only. The compromise "Ground Support" would allow for a lot including almost- all ground vehicles and ground attack vehicles. But most ships including Sci-fi would not be included.

Didn't someone want to do this about a month ago. Wwe even came up witht the minimum number of participants to make it official.
Well, I'm in. I already started my kits back when this was first mentioned. At least on kit was done for a dio I was working on. I had put it away until this was thought of. I have the rest of the vehicles and figures to do.

Right, the proposal is in!
Ignore the dates. In a moment of sheer Muppetry I entered the dates in the European style Day/Month/Year as opposed to the American style Month/Day/Year.
The correct dates are:
Start: 01 May 2005
End: 01 September 2005
I have mailed Staff_Jim asking for the necessary adjustments.
Rob, maybe the next one will be 1/72 & 1/76 only?
What is everyone going to build?

i have a Revell Panzer III that REALLY needs to be done.
I also have a tiger I with zimmerit coating by DML too.
DML announced a few new 1/72 scale kits, maybe i'll be getting their jagdpanther, KT and the ferdinand.
All these kits comes with the new moulded on zimmerit.

That revell PzIII has been on my stack for quite a while as well. I was thinking of doing that in a winter scheme. Also, GreatModels has notified me of shipment of DML's "Maus", so I'll probably give that a try as well. I am also thinking about one of DML's 1/144 "train" kits...It's a few cars, with various military components. So many models...so little time.

I don't see a problem with 18 - 25mm range (± 1/87 - 1/65 IIRC), as long as there are NO Nude Anythings running around.
Rules as to Figures apply; this includes, no less than four figues set in Vig / Dio.
