Hi guys,
I will be building a 1/35th scale Nashorn from Dragon.
This campaign is an honor for me because this will be my first time to use Aftermarket Products on a model. I'll be using Verlinden AMs courtesy of Blade48mrd and a CMK Aluminum Barrel courtesy of my Filipino friend Defcon1.
If I have enough time, I might be able to build a second entry...this time, a 1/35th scale Marder from Italeri. This will also be a first as this will be the first time I will make resin figures specifically designed for this vehicle. The model and the figures are courtesy of Blade48mrd.
Thank you very much, Mike (Blade48mrd) and Dave (Defcon1)
Now, where are those tanks?

DML Jagdpanther Early and RSO with PAK 40 here. I could probably slam the later togther in one night. Friday night would be good here, too. Sorta like your parents letting you open just one present on Christmas Eve. I would risk it and just go ahead and start but I don't want to be dragged in front of the Armorama Campaign Ethics Commitee (ACEC). :-) :-) :-)

Hell - I'd like to get a jump on things Friday evening as well - prime modeling time for me too. (Sometimes I need all the time I can get)

Unfortunately I have nothing in the stash that would qualify as an tracked tank destroyer. I have a couple of Shermans on the way so my budget has been spent. Maybe I can squeeze the Italeri M36 Jackson into the mix

Sorry guys but one of the things a campaign is all about is that you built models that have to do something with a particulair subject within a certain time frame.
Changing the start date doesn't fit in this.
If I say to you, hell start on friday, no problem, somebody else might ask me if he/she can start tuesday then. Cause what difference does 1 day make? And so on and so on. The campaign will start tommorow then lol, instead of sunday...
I hope you understand my point and position here....
Thanks,
Martin

Well, there was no question in my mind what the subject would be for this endeavor ... the Dragon JSU-152. With its mammoth gun and imposing superstructure, for me, it reeks of tank destroyer! I have the Fruili tracks, but need to acquire a gun tube (maybe Aber) but I'm keeping the p/e to a minimum, preferring instead to scratchbuild what components I need. I just picked up Nic Cortese's book on building IS-series tanks and that should give me the insight I need to make the appropriate corrections.
Man, am I ever ready for this!

I've got 3 TD's from the dark side in my stash, an Elefant, Nashorn and JagdPanther. My initial intention was to enter a Ferdinand but my itchy hands go the better of me so I finished it early (see my banner). Anyway, I'll probably enter the Elefant and if time permits I'll include a dio....
Hmmm...can I also begin on Friday....
Cheers

Martinnnn -
Got back from my Babe Ruth baseball Team's game and still had a little time to get out the Dragon JagdPanther. I've started on prepping the hull to put on Cavalier's "Zim" set. Would like to work in Dragon's Hetzer also, just have to see how time management goes.
