Almost done the turret and will be moving on to the hull shortly. I am not sure if I am going to get it done by the end of the campagn but I will try.
What do you think so far?

That shade of white is all wrong! :-) Looks great thus far. Is this the Grizzly Breeching vehicle based on the Abrams chassis or something different? Whatever it is, your doing a great job on it so far. "Q"

Guess I'm still stuck in WW2 where a Grizzly was the Canadian version of the Sherman M4A1. What Grizzly are you building?

Impressive work. Reminds me what I'll have to do to fix the Trumpeter AAVP turret.

Looking good Mark. What are you using for the hull?
A grizzly is a modern Canadian AVGP (Armoured Vehicle General Purpose). They are a family of vehicles which have various functions. The Cougar was the Recce/Tank Trainer version with a 76mm gun in a Briish Scorpion Turret, the Grizzly is the APC version with a smaller turret housing a .50 cal and 7.62 MG and the Husky is the Recovery version.

See the link for a good article on them from ML.

Hi Mark ...Nice work so far ...You've taken on quite a project with this one haven't you ...Keep up the good work but don't try to rush it just to finish in time ..You've done too much nice work to try and rush the rest for a deadline.

Hey fellahs,
Thanks for the compliments, as to your questions I am doing it in 1/35 scale and I will be using the Italeri LAV as the base for the hull, and MLM tires of course. If any one is curious as to what a grizzly is just type in AVGP Grizzly in to google and you will come up with lots of pics.
No off to more cut, swear, sand, sand, swear some more, sand, then glue!!! Makes a guy want to start smoking again.

Well The turret is finally finished and now I am moving on to the hull. I don't think she will be done in time but I am trying. As always I would like your feedback.

Excellent work Mark,
It would take next to nothing to backdate the turret to the older version...
-replace the C-6 with a C-5 barrel.
-replace the newer sight and sight cover with the older style ones.
-add a wire cutter to the front of the turret for a mid life version or none for the original version.
Again, excellent work.

Thanks Guys,
I am hoping to get the turret cast so I will let you know. Jim, I am hoping to convert an Italeri LAV 25 kit into a Grizzly, I don't think anyone could afford to convert the hobby fan kit. I will keep you guys advised.
PS I got to cut a Lav 25 hull in half last night and hopefully I can get it back together.
