Hey checking up on everyones builds...Hows it going folks?
Well I cut the sides of the hood off on the Academy 6X6 and had to fabricate two small parts to block in the fire wall on both sides of the cab. They both are drying now so I brought out the revell 1/144th B52 and glued the wings together...1/144th B52 still has a wingspan of 15 inches or so..lots a relastate on my desk at work. Add that to the 1/72nd Uboat for DDD campaign and Iam running out of real work space...OH WELL :-) :-)

I may join this campaign too if I've got some spare time....but I have no idea what kits are any good?
If I join I'd like to do some 1:72 WW2 armor.....can anyone reccomend an easy kit to start with?

Go for the dragon ones Martin, I recommend the StuG IV, with rubber band tracks.
Or you could get their Jagdpanther (with zimmerit).
Easy to do.
Revell kits, IMHO are a little more difficult than DML ones. I just finished the PzIII (posted the pics on this forum) and its a great fun build!
I still have 3 more builds to go, StugIV, Jagdpanther and Tiger(late).
Good luck on your build Steve!

I'm in the campaign after I saw some beatiful 1/72 stuff, here on Armorama. My first 1/72 work was the "Cecina" diorama, presented on big A as a feature. this will be the second try on 1/72 scale. And it will be nice to give a break between the 1/35 stuff too.

Not knowing what is readily available and the relative prices on the kits in your area, I would steer you towards Revell of Germany's StuG 40 Ausf G spate (StuG III Ausf. G late). Very nice little kit that should not be too difficult a build and being from Germany may be easier to find/afford than a Dragon kit.I may join this campaign too if I've got some spare time....but I have no idea what kits are any good?

I've just enlisted into this campaign, I've a 1/72nd WWI tank I could build for it. I think I could build that in the amount of time left.
Best wishes
Steve

I'm trugging along with my 1/72 Dragon M1A1 Abrams. Before this campaign got started, I had already finished the Dragon M2A2 Bradley and the Verlinden Dio base "Desert Road." I had picked up the Eduards photo etch set for the Dragon M1A1, but then Extra Tech came out with thiers and it had a replace ment bustle rack and side boxes. So no I am back on track to finish that little dio.

Posting Pics Iam not sure of..But your not the only airplane in the mix. I did alittle more work on the 1/144th B52 over lunch and the horizontal stabilizers are assm. and mounted..This is almost to much fun to be legal :-) :-) :-)

Wow, I thought of giving it a week or so before asking about feedback. That was until I saw Steve and Danny’s posts. Steve, thanks for keeping the interest going, Danny brilliant build.
As Staff_Jim is busy enough without help, I don’t want to bug him about Miniature Magic’s own Discussion Group yet, he’ll sort it out in good time. Until then post your ‘In progress’ reports in this thread. It should also make it easier to move later on.
Nope, Penny, I assembled my F-51D’s engine this afternoon, cut out the necessary engine covers and started the interior.
Not too sure about my Revell / Matchbox 1/76 Priest anymore, since I found my old stash of Braille scale kits (Still unpacking boxes 8 months after the house move) that is.
It’s like Christmas all over again. Esci Stug IIIG & M901 (half done) - Airfix 75mm Assault Gun & 0-1E/F ‘Bird dog’ & Mirage F-1C – Italeri FW190 D-9 – Hasegawa F-15J & A-6E Intruder & Sherman – Fujimi JU-87 D5 and more. :-)
