Here are some pics of my recently completed USS Dauntless. It is an Alliance kit, scale on the box says 1/677 scale....not really sure how they measured the real one!!! LOL
When I got the kit, the resin on one side was really thin, like it didn't cure properly, so I stuck a knife in it...worked it around...and it ended up looking alot like a hull breach...hence the billowing smoke!!
Some phaser shots to the hull...this thing has been to Borg Space and back by the look of it.
Hope you like them!!!!

Which episode had the USS Dauntless? Was it the one where the Doc was beamed to an experimental ship that was captures by Romulans so he and the Dauntless Holodoc had to retake the ship?

That looks great, that billowing smoke has been done very well, is that cotton wool?
As this is the RRB, one thing I would possibly change is the base. I think a more 'futuristic' base ( metal or carbon-fibre look ?) would be more appropriate.
Cheers
Henk

Sorry, I had the right up going into one of the sci fi sites, thought I put the write up on here as well.
No, the USS Dauntless was in the episode Hope & Fear, Season 4, episode 24.
Basically Voyager comes upon the ship sitting in space. The ship has a message that Starfleet had designed a ship with a new propulsion system to help get them home faster....SlipStream Drive.
In the end, it was all an alien's plot to capture and kill the crew, as apparently some tussle with the Borg by the Voyager crew, brought the Borg to this alien's system and he was the last of their race.
But of course in the end, the Voyager crew foiled the alien's plan, and got back to Voyager safely, while the Dauntless sailed into Borg Territory.
The ship represents the aftermath of the battle, since it was pretty much on autopilot going into Borg space, with a new Slip Stream Drive so I figure the Borg got a couple of lucky shots in, until the Dauntless computer took over and got the ship out of Dodge!!!!

I really like it. Nice clean, flowing, lines. the colors are balanced well, meaning that they're just different enough to stand out, yet balanced enough that they do not compete against each other. I agree about the comment regarding the base. That, tends to seem out of place. However, this may have been a case of "you work with what you have" and I fully understand how that is. The only other comment would be regarding the panel lines. I think it would have really made it stand out if you could have shadowed them with a slightly darker tint of the base color.
Regardless, it came out looking really nice and I wouldn't mind having one just like it.
Well done Scott!

Ah yes I remember that episode. The alien is sitting in the captain's chair right when it drops out of warp in front of a borg cube.
