This is my first entry.(only one I have pictures of so far)
It is a CDN M113 fitter unit unknown. All I know is it was on display in western Canada somewhere I think.
The kit was done to match the real one or as close as I could. As usual it has the old unit made wooden toolboxes and the stretchers that many CDN vehicles carry.
The base kit is the Academy fitter. It has some added details such as hyd.hoses, scratch built toolboxes and grouser racks, front signal lights, new battery box, stretches,CDN licence plates,CDN crew heater and jerry can rack.
Many of the parts are from Maple Leaf Models(Thanx JP)
And yes the call signs (32C2) on the sides are not level on the real one.Who ever painted them must have had a few too many the night before.
There are a few more pics in my gallery.
Questions,comments are more that welcome.
Jim
Oh ya,I forgot to add that the only real weathering do to it was the roadwheels because the real one looks very clean. It was on display so it look like they cleaned for it.

Hi Jim,
nice model! Interior looks the real deal. What are the projections on the rear of the hull, storage? Fuel cells?
I have an Aussie Fitter sitting in the to do pile - you have inspired me! I'll get to it right after the "Miniature Magic" and "Welcome to the Nam" campaigns are over
Admiration and regards,
Adrian

Looks great. I lik ethat you added the ramp pulley that is missing from all M113 kits on the market. Is it the Maple Leaf Models pulley assembly, or scratch?

External fuel cells. Allow it to carry more fuel and also makes it safer for the crew with them mounted outside. What are the projections on the rear of the hull, storage? Fuel cells?

Great work on the fitter.
I believe the vehicle you based your project on is from 1 SVC BN at CFB Edmonton.

Thanx for all the great comments.
Gino, yes the pulley is from MLM so is the crew heater and stretchers.I would have used the fuel tanks too but I had the kit ones on already.
Jason, thank you.I have bugged Jim C. enough so I didn't want to ask him the info on it.
I will post more pics, some of the real thing once I get more gallery space. I signed up for the gold membership.
Will post pics of my Cougar and C2 again when I can,as per the above!

Jim
The license plates are excellent..thanks for the info. Mounted them on my 106 jeep and it's almost finished now.
I just got the fitter kit....are there any tricks, traps or pitfalls i should know about. Also, is the trim vane included in the kit. All the pics I've seen don't have one.
thanks again
