Hi just thought I'd post a progress pic of my Dragon Firefly VC.
I finally took the bull by the horns and sat down with the single-minded intention of getting the tracks on this thing done. Two nights later I'd cracked it... I even thought I was beginning to enjoy doing them!
I'm now waiting for delivery of some decals from Quartermaster's Depot before draping lots of lovely dragon track around the tank.
The commander figure is from Alpine.

Slow progress...

You have a very nice build mate. Nice clean finish. No flash, tracks are in the right direction and a good color schemes.
However, next time you would do another Sherman, keep in mind the inside of the hatch should match the same base color, it has been proven in the field. Also, would you still be adding those tools? I see holes which should be there unless the tools were in place.
The flash "flushes" out most of the detail so I can't comment on the figure but from what I see, it looks pretty neat.

Thanks Shonen- The photo shows the model about a fortnight ago- just haven't uploaded the pictures before (the rest are sitting on my work computer which will be rendering video for the rest of the day!). Since then, most of the tools have been added, the hatch painted and figure almost finished.
I have to say I haven't really enjoyed building this, which was a pity coz it's one of my fave tanks, and I was really looking forward to doing it. However, knowing what to expect from it, I now quite fancy doing another one

Hey guys- just thought I'd throw in an update of my sloooooooooooow progress. Finally got the decals (I think I ordered the wrong set! So it goes).
It's supposed to be Sherman Mk. VC ‘Borden’ - ‘B’ Sqn, The Governor General’s Horse Guards,
5 Canadian Armoured Division. If anyone has any photos of this vehicle in action I'd be very grateful to see them- I was rather looking forward to draping loads of extra track all over it...
