Hi guys,
I have in the last while become interested in Allied armour and vehicles.
I would like build a Canadian tank and I have the above the kit.
My question is.. Will this kit out of the box allow me to build a Canadian Firefly with me only having to buy decals?? Or do I need to add extra bits and pieces that were unique to Canadian vehicles?
I appreciate your help.
Jeff

I know the previous two releases of this kit has Canadian decals, so I would assume this one does as well.

Actually this one does not have any Canadian decals.
Markings are for...
4th County of London Yeomanry, the Sharpshooters, Normandy 1944
or
13th/18th Royal Hussars, 27th Armoured Brigade, Normandy 1944
I knew the previous ones did include Canuck markings so thats why I was asking about this kit.
I am still trying to learn about Shermans and get my facts straight concering them. Its a bit confusing but I am getting there.
I guess I just need to see some more pictures of Candian Fireflys and then try to see what needs to be done.

Hi Jeff,
This is the third kick at the can for DML with the VC. It is the best of the bunch and if you really dont want to use any aftermarket kits you dont have to. It builds up nicely as is and has the necessary photo etch parts included. Have at her and go for it..we can never have too many canadian vehicles as far as im concerned Good luck.
Cheers,
Bryan

I agree!
I have really become interested in modelling Canadian stuff from WW 2.
I thought this Firefly would be a good start. I am going to keep the AM stuff down and just get some decals and do it up in Canuck markings.

Jim is Right QMD has some great stuff but it is very vehicle specific and narrows your choices. I have used them in the past and they are great stuff. Dont forget about Ultracast they make decals for just about every canadian armoured unit.

I have built the earlier VCs and they are good kits. The new one is reported to be the best of the lot. I highly recommend QMD decals. Good quality and variety. The same goes for Ultracast. Welcome to the world of Shermans and especially Canuck Shermans!
