Hey Guys,
here are a few shots of my newly finished Sherman V of the FIrst Hussars in Normandy '44. I based it on the old DML m4a4 kit and added formations tools and final drive. The tracks are from academy and the wheels are from TMD. The photo etch came from Aber and the leaves which are also PE come from Lionroar. Thanks for looking.
Cheers,
Bryan

THose Lionroar leaves look good. Is there a vendor on our site that carries them? What do you think of the value of the leaf PE set?

Bryan, that looks great...... how about an On Dispaly or feature on building it....... :-) :-) :-) :-)
The icing on the cake are those leaves..... they seem to kick it up a knotch, from nice build to "Hey look me over"

3rd pic - bedroll on turret - you can see dimples in the throughout putty, Bryan. I'm sorry, but that is what I see. I know this isn't the proper forum for nitpicking. Your model, however, is undoubtedly impressive.

The dimples you see are the holes for strap that secures it to the turret. Also I did rough it up with a stiff brush to get the canvas effect. No nylon here LOL the pic is probably 10x the size of the actual piece so it is a bit exagerated. Good eye though.

I see the straps holes. I guess what I am seeing is, as you said, the stippling with your brush for a rougher cloth texture. I like the veins on those leaves.

Bryan,
you've raised the bar once again!! The detail is amazing (storage bin lid partly open, leaves, etc.). Excellent build mate.

Thanks again guys...I was very happy with the way it all turned out in the end. THis project was an experiment that worked out. The tracks were a nightmare and and the whole thing was almost thrown against the wall several times but in the end im glad I didnt chuck it LOL.

Bryan

Love it - VERY nice indeed. A couple of questions... Who are the crew figures by? And how did you make the headlight lenses?
Finally - not a nitpick at all, since I have a long-haired German shepherd and so know this problem all too well - there's a dog hair in pic 3! Get everywhere don't they?
