Great looking dio! The figures are well placed and there's a lot of action in it.

I hope sincerly it's not your "last" diorama!

I've got only 2 nitpicks:
- The doorknob is too big
- Rubble is mostly different in shape, colour and measures. Add some small rubble between the stones and on the grey street pavement.
The rubble is also a bit clean, perhaps washings with several dark colours and some dry brush will give it some dustier appearance.

I love it. I would just add some dust to dirty the scene up some more. Great work

I wish this won't be your last, but would be your latest. I agree with previous post. Since there are rubble, there's also a potential of dust. House is too white and clean for my taste. Since there's rubble on the side, it can also be dirtied a bit

I agree with the others. There should be much more dirt and dust.

Beside what has already been stated the only thing I see is it looks like the stripes on the one figure seem to be upside down. I am assuming that these are US soldiers.

The composition and layout are nicely done and really carry this diorama. The figuers look to be well done as do the vehicles.

I'll offer a word of thought for the next diorama (which there should be because you do them well) - always ask yourself "how did this get here?" or "Does this make sense in the 'flow' of this scene?"
The reason I bring this up is that the flow of this diorama is that the jeep was on recon and stopped to wait for support. To have this happen the jeep must have driven along the road. The big rubble chunck right in front of the sherman is too big for the jeep to get over. That is what my eye catches. Even a bit of a different angle on the jeep would tell the story of the jeep going around it vs over it. So, there doesn't have to be drastic changes, sometime simple things are easily achieved.

Thanks for the suggestions!

This was my 3rd diorama, probably I'll post some pics of the other two.

Hey

Nice composition. Next to what's already said, the house looks like a German house to me (because of the wood X-structure on the second floor outside wall) but it has French signs on it.......I could be wrong but it doesn't looks really French to me

Martin - please take this as help from someone who concentrates on figures- just need some separation in colouron the faces and uniforms- have a look at the figure forum and there are some great results- not a critisism just want to enhance what lovely work you are doing

Easy, First off, congratulations on completing something. Others have already mentioned the biggest things. I'll give you something for your future builds. The commander of the Sherman is either extremely brave or incredibly dumb. When in contact, we button up to avoid getting shot and or hit with shrapnel. Your scene now, could be they just made contact and he hasn't quite made the decision to go below, so its still works for me. The driver is in the same boat as well. If he gets hit, the tank is pretty much a sitting duck. Nuff said on those issues.
To replicate the dirt and dust everybody has mentioned, you might give this a try. Use some white glue and water mixture and a 1/2"-1" wide brush. Apply it to the entire base, and then carefully sprinkle some dirt that has been sifted thru a screen to provide some fine stuff over the entire area. Follow this with some washes etc. Pastels can then be used for the lower portions of the running gear on the tank and jeep. Hope this helps. "Q"

Nice diorama overall. I really like the B&W pics, as they give a quick impression of an old Hollywood WWII war movie (like To Hell and Back). Positions of the figures is good, accept maybe the tank crew, as they look very exposed to enemy fire.

Vehicles look good too. I like the weathering you did on the M4, and the Willys.

Your ruined house, and the rubble look too neat. Take a look at a real building after a fire or after being demolished. Other then that, your diorama looks fine.

If this is only your 3rd diorama, you have done a great job. Keep up the good work

Cheers !!

hi easy,
nice overall and nice location for vehicles and figures. I liked the story Willys crew stopping the Sherman.as many fellows mentioned it looks more and more weathering...and a few first look critics;
-the window frames looked a little thick to my eyes and door handle is bigger than it has to be.
-some colored brick wall rubble can be added to verlinden gray bricks.
-feldgendarmie and 30 km a l'heure signs are too high for drivers and infantry units.it would be hard to see them in that way.

congrats for the good work
