Finished my entry for the campaign : Plus Models resin Lanchester MkII.
The model is completed as serving with the 11th Hussars in Egypt 1939-1940, just before they were replaced with Rolls-Royce and Morris vehicles. It's out of the box other than the markings which were made on my inkjet. The paint is Ford 'Gazelle Beige' which I reckon is a pretty good 'Light Stone'

Thanks Dave. The kit was pretty good to build. The castings where clean and easy to trim, but as is common with these kits the instructions leave something to be desired - I actually got the nearside engine vent in the wrong place, which is why the second spare is lying in the rear!

- just kidding! :-)
- looks good - the right front wheel looks kinda off though - it appears to be leaning inwards in the 2nd pic.

I've submitted a 'feature' with in progress pics and some opinions on the build, only sent it yesterday so be patient!
The wheel is leaning because the suspension is very fragile - it's own weight makes it do that!. Hence the base - it's the only way to stop it breaking just by standing on it's wheels!
Thanks for the comments guys!

It's a real beautifull model, Dave!
I'm looking forwrd to your feature article with the in progress pics and some opinions on the build.
It will appear on Armorama's homepage soon, I suppose.
And leaning wheels is a common problem with resin models, I guess.

Too bad the undercarriage is a little on the weak side.

Thanks for the comments guys - just to give you some idea there are 18 parts in the rear suspension and we all know just how strong small resin parts are! The front suspension has 10, including seperate link arms etc.............
