I've finnaly decided what to do for a Walcheren '44 Campaign entry.
I bought the Airfix 1:32 British Infantry figureset (they look real nice as was mentioned before on an review a couple of months ago).
The set includes many optional parts. It was way ahead of it's time if this is exactly the seventies release!
Included were also decals for the 1st, 3th, 49 th en de 50th infantery division. Unfortunatly, not usable for Walcheren (aside for the rank decals).
So, a little dio is planned for this campaign with British or Canadian soldiers. I guess in basic the uniforms of both where almost identical?
The inspiration for a small dio:

yes, the basic uniform would be the same, but the Canadian uniform would have had a more greenish teint, while the English uniform would be more earthen.

Thanks Richard. That is indeed something to keep in mind when painting the figures.
Is there also a difference in colours for the barrets?

eerie. I think they were, but I don't know for sure...
For instance the Grenadier-Regiment 1019 was there, but I don't know if it were Panzer-Grenadiers or just infantry.
I'll ask on the Dutch forum about it.
Perhaps this link will also help: http://www.calgaryhighlanders.com/history/chill.htm

Eerie, good news for you. Zeeuwtje (AKA Ad Brons) told me he know the Panzergrenadiers were put into action at Arnemuiden for the defence of the Sloedam. The Canadians had very high losses there because of them.
