HI

Well, although my AB didn't act up, I wasn't happy with the result.

I would have repainted it BUT I ran out of paint ... :-)

Still, it isn't too bad I suppose.

Just hafta add the tools and MG.

excellent work tom! i like the faded-camo effect and subtle paint chipping on the hull. the fig looks good too. the only nitpick is that the decals looks a bit too clean, considering the overall 'dusty' look on the tank.

I think the camo looks good!

I agree with moJimbo the decals should be toned down a bit......

Nice entry already

Hi

WOW !! Thanks guys

One light dusting coming up

Today is Cda Day, normally a hot and sunny day but up here it has been cool and very windy so I decided to start another TD....

This is the result of about 10 hrs work while watching an Andromeda marathon....

Thanks agin for your comments. I should have a finished pic soon.

HI

I used a couple of methods. The first thing I did was to paint the base colour and then "weather" it by misting on various lighter shades of the base colour along with some darker earthy colours. I then added the green camo. I followed this up by misting on a very thin "wash" of dirty, greyish, grungy, sandy grey. Sadly, a lot of the earlier work gets lost but it does achieve depth to the finish.

I only added a few chips and streaks as you can see. Still trying after 30 years (hahah) to finish one kit that I am happy with..

As well, I use my experience with the real items as a guide for my weathering.

My last items will be to add the tools and MG and when this is complete I will apply a verrrry thin wash of Tamiya buff and a light coat of pigments.

HTH. If you any Q's please ask away.

misting on various lighter shades of the base colour along with some darker earthy colours.

To mist is that achieved by an airbrush or?

yes it can be sometimes dificult to be satisfied with the results, but it looks so good!

HI

Yes, mists are applied with an AB. I either add white or a light grey to lighten and a darker brown to umm darken.

However, very careful drybrushing could also work.
