Hi. Just started on my tank destroyer. It's the trumpeter "Sturer Emil"
Preliminary dry fitting can be seen here...
As I am still an amateur modeler, i'd like to ask for some questions and advice from you experts out there
1.) Here is the dry-fitted exhaust assembly. Should I leave the seam line or do I sand it down?
2.) The main gun assembly. Do I drill out the periscope holes or do i just paint gloss black on the tip
3.) This is the a pictureof the actual breech assembly of the emil. How do I achieve that paint effect? Only tamiya and gunze paints are available here. (image from www.jagdtiger.de)
Thanks all!

Looking great so far
The exhaust-if you have liquid glue use that on it After it dries sand the glue seam After sanding you may need to add putty on any leftover seam
The periscope
Some people just paint it black Others will drill it out Then paint it black Drilling it out gives it some depth
The gun breach
In my opinion you won't have to do all that paint chipping This pic is of one in a museum They may not have the funds to keep up on the paint job
However
Where the shells go into you would paint that area a steel color What do you think of the kit so far?
About your callsign "grimlock" Is that after the name of one of the dinosaur robots on the Transformers? The name grimlock sounds familiar to me

What do you think of the kit so far?
Um, this will be from an amateur modelers point-of-view.
The kit is very good. Save for the breech assembly, very few of the parts need sanding.
Gun assembly goes together really well.
Interior is well-detailed.
Traces of flash here and there.
There are no visible ejector pin marks in the tracks and hull.
Amazing features are the correctly hollowed-out track guide horns.
hope that helps

Ah yes. Grimlock is the name of the dinobot leader who turns into a T-rex. He was my favorite cartoon character when I was a kid.About your callsign "grimlock" Is that after the name of one of the dinosaur robots on the Transformers? The name grimlock sounds familiar to me
Thanks for your help!
