I picked this up a couple weeks ago at my LHS after reading the reviews of the little kit. I have to say that I like these better than the 1/72 stuff as I'm actually working on finishing it.
It is built basically OOB but I hated the supplied tow cables, so I decided to leave them off and make the wire holders on the rear plate.
This is my 1st attempt at an ambush scheme and I know the green is too dark, so go easy on me. I used Tamiya paints with blue tack for the masking.
Comments welcome..

I like it its a very nice build.and the camo came out just right.you said you used blue-tac for the masking, how did you find it?was it better than masking tape?as i tryed it on my jagdpanther a while ago and its a lot better than tape.
You said the green is to dark, try and mist over the camo with some dark yellow,it will lighten up the green and tie in the other colours using you airbrush on a fine spray setting.but dont go to heavy and not too close as you dont want to ruin that nice camo.just a sugestion .then after that get on with the washes and such.do post some more updates.
cheers karl

I like the blue tack, but on this small tank, I kept smashing the putty with my fingers. I have a few places where the yellow covering got squashed and produced a red fuzzy edge. I've only used it once before for a wave pattern on a larger kit and this is my 1st ambush try so I am pleased with it.
Thanks for the overspray hint.. I'm going to try it after the decals dry for a bit and before the weathering.
Now to read up on filter techniques.....

Looking very good so far! I really like these little gem of a kits too. I think the green is fine, don't lighten it anymore as it will lighten as its weathered. No much I would change at this point - bring on some progress.

Hi all,
Here's a few updated pic while I wait for the tracks to dry.
I've added filters which didn't do as much as I had hoped. I guess that I'm not really sure what I was expecting really.
Also added pin wash of burt sienna, black, and a coating of mud on the lower hull made from MIG pigments, carpenters glue, and static grass.
Does anyone know if its too late to enter the Tank Destroyer build? I just found it yesterday on the site.
Thanks,
Doug
