Just finished, shot a few quick pictures.A lot of firsts for me on this one.
First serious 1/72 vehicle build. First dio. groundwork that’s not flat. First “spice” trees.
But anyway… hope you enjoy. I had a great time building this.
Hasegawa M5 Tractor and 155mm Long Tom built OOB except for figures, modified to look more casual. Base - foam w/ Durhams putty. Woodland’s flock mix groundcover and mixed spice trees.

The base is really well done. I know that might sound lame but I can't tell you how many times I have seen otherwise great dioramas look really shabby because the base sucked.
Anyway, I like the whole thing. I only dabble in braille scale so I can't really comment much but I think the tires on the Long Tom look a little too green to me. It may be the picture, though.

Looks nice, but the problem is that the flash has washed out the color of the pictures. Try to take your pictures in daylight, or cover the flash with some oblique paper. I agree with the previous posts, your dio looks nice, you did the elevation well.
Cheers

It's great !
You've put efforts in that dio and it shows !
The "non flatness" of the dio adds dynamism.

Thanks guys. Appreciate the feedback.
Shaun and Henk: I think your right, the photo is off. I'll try and shoot some better photos.
Anthony: I was trying to get the look of the hills in Italy. Kind of Anzio to Monte Cassino

“Going to do more”, good on you! A really nice scene you’ve built! Really well done, unfortunately the flash has subdued the effects.

Ciao Neo,
I really like what you have done with the dio. Good job on the grade of the hill. The tractor/gun combo came out really nice!! Cool tree, too.
I think that the red border detracts from the scene. Maybe something more neutral like an earth tone would be good.
The rocks seem too blue to me. I would suggest that you go with more tan/brown to convey the element of dust from the gravel road.
I don't want to sound nickpick over it. Overall, you did an outstanding job!! Congrats.
Ciao for now
Rob
