Hey Guys,
Here are a few quick shots of my latest. Its almost done and only needs some more stowage and a bit more weathering and it will be done. The Crew was AWOL at the time the pics were taken.
Cheers,
Bryan

Looks great. Details please. What kit, what AM, etc. Like where did you get all those extra track lengths. Also what color is that you used for the main tank? It looks almost gray in those photos. Or is that the weathering?

Thanks guys...I appreciate all the kind words. Roger its base coated in Tamiya OD then lightly sprayed with Vallejo OD. Here is a pic before I started weathering..you can see it is in fact Green. The Greyish dust colour is Tamiya Buff. Thanks for your kind words.

Bryan

You did a fantastic job on your Sherman, congrats. I really like the subtle weathering. I have but one question, how are those spare tracks kept in place?? Should they be tied/strapped down? Ok, thats two questions. Forgive my ignorance, I'm one of those few people that pretty much only build German stuff. It's a pretty small club.

Track armour was welded to the vehicle. When Sherman track was used it was pretty much always the tips of the end connectors that were welded in place.

Every modeller has their own preferences for paint, finish, techniques etc, and Bryan, whatever you're doing really matches and brings out the character of every Shermie you produce!
Love looking at your work mate, keep it up!

Hi Bryan- I echo all those comments above: superb!
I especially like the periscopes (are they AM?) they're beautifully painted. Mine are always just green Also, more periscope guards... I'll have to get me some of those!
One question though- how do you find the time!!!

Another shinning star! But really Bryan I think you have mastered the Sherman, maybe its time to branch out a bit, try maybe a M3 Lee or a Stuart? :-)

Rick,
If I didn't know any better, I think that is the CMD turret he bought while we were all at SMHQ. I could be wrong as most shermans look the same to me. I mean to my untrained eyes.

Gentlemen..thankyou for your very kind words..John, you are of course right I am due for something other than a sherman and I have two non sherman projects in the works at the moment :-) Alex,, Sorry bud but it's the plain ol DML turret with a Formations barrel. The turret you mention is on the Op Cobra M4a1 (the one with black camo). Here's a list of bits.

hatches and periscopes
