Latest work to my 1/87th (HO) scale Roco Miniatures Leo2A4 and A5.

Made some decals using Testors Decal System.
They work better then expected. Went on pretty well with MicroSol and MicroSet.

Drybrushed light green, dark gray, and tan. And added antennas made from fishing line.

All that is left is some weathering. Maybe a little dust to the running gear and lower chassis.

What do ya think?

That is an outstanding job on that thing. I have a hard time with larger scale models. Nice. Weathering would add alot to it though.

Since they are HO scale, you plan on putting them on a railcar flat bed?

looks like the green on the 2A5 is different than that of the 2A4.

To me, the green of the 2A4 looks correct.

As for weathering.. don't overdo it... the real leo's are kept pretty clean as possible.

Thanks Guys,
Jason--I know what ya mean by the scale, but this one actually came out better than my 1/35th! Seriously. I'm gonna keep the weathering light. Maybe just a light pastel dust on the running gear, skirting and lower chassis.

Jeff--I'm not into trains, BUT that is a great idea for a vignette! A length of track, one flatbed and maybe a railroad crossing. It has possibilities. I'll have to think about it.

Richard--You're right, the greens are different. Not sure what happened--paint not mixed correctly, grabbed the wrong bottle (I'm getting old), Murphy and his silly Law.
I built my 1/35th 2A5 as though it just ran through the mud and the muck, but these will have a light weathering.
