I'm not sure if I'm supposed post this here because it does not show the Elefant but rather the crew and the schwimmwagen. I'm sorry about the quality of the pics because I was in a hurry during the time I took the photo. In my next update I'll probably include the Elefant as well as the placement of the figs...They are still glossy...no flat coating yet....
Below is the actual placement....(old pic)

I like the whole dio, but the figures in particular are impressive. Would you mind sharing your techniques for painting the faces and insignia, as these are things I'm struggling with? T(h)anks

Hi Rip,
Thank you. I'm no expert when it comes to painting faces, but here goes... I painted the faces using Oil, for flesh color I used yellow ochre , titanium white and burt sienna. Just mix the 3 colors -- initially equal parts for yellow ochre and burnt sienna, then I increase the white as necessary (depends on the skin tone you like). I just got the tip from the links below...

As for the insignia, I just used a very fine tipped brush...its trial and error...
I hope this helps...

Hi Rip,
Saw some of your figs and they look very good, so probably just a little practice and not a lot more as you mentioned

That's kind of you to say, but I know that I need to do a lot of work on getting the faces to look right yet!
