Hello Fellow TD fans. Today I finished up the construction of the Turrent and now its starting to come together.

The Turrent went together very well. I didn't like the molded on tie downs so I cut them off and added my own made from 32 gauge wire which looked like a good scale match to me. I only had to add a touch of putty to the back of the turrent where the side panels meet the rear ones to square it off a bit.

The Tracks are Rubber cheveron from the Tamiya M4A3 75 mm Sherman (frontline breakthrough). they fit almost perfect but I did have to cut 1 link off of them.. one thing I can saw about these tracks is they take zap-a-gap superglue very very well.

Base coat is Moded Master OD ANA 613. I plan to fade it a bit here and there and running gear has already got a oil wash. I also plan to do a white wash camo on it. And I have my first dio planned for it.. although the dio won't be for the campaign.

so let me know what you all think so far........

Looks good to me. I had to putty the rear of the turret a bit on mine also. I think yours looks a bit cleaner than mine. You've done a good job there. I've got mine finished except for painting the head lights (I do that after dull coating) and putting the tracks on. I thought it was interesting that you cut a link of the tracks out. I've never done that on the rubber tracks. I might try that also. Your tracks look good. Can't wait to see your finished product.

just a note fellows.. remember I'm using Tamiya tracks on a Academy kit so they were not a perfect fit.. they were a little on the loose side and didnt' lay on the drive sproket very well so by cutting off one link at the end I tightened them up enough so that they sit better on the tank....

And be carefull which tracks you are trying to cut and super glue.. these were a fairly newer kit.. made in 2001.. the older tamiya tracks just don't take super glue as well as these did.

Still have to paint the tracks and weather the model... then add the camo......:>

Will you be putting a star on the side of the TURRET?
Or will there be bags and such hanging off the tie downs on the TURRET? (++) (++)

There more than likly be some gear hanging off of the TURRET as that is what the tie-dows were for.

As for the Star on the side of the TURRET... prob not as most photos of the M10 in combat don't seem to have one here. Something about it being too handy an aiming point for the Germans.

btw.. i know i can't speel..... :-)
