Ok.. here's the dirt work and trench. I used Hydrozell-Color for the soil..man I love that stuff! No shrinkage, no chunks, nice and fine. The rock is crunched up chalk rock from the yard. Wait a few days for it all to dry and onto painting and weathering...and then finish the tank...

Roughly, what color is the soil in northern France ?

See ya when it's finished.

That looks great Steven...
Nice looking build... I can't find that tank here in Singapore.. Always wanted to lay my hands on one of these WW1 tank.
The ground work looks fine so far.. but what does those wires sticking out from the soil represent??

Well...they're suppose to be the steel stakes used for deploying tangle wire, but I think I should have found some smaller gauged brass...and my twisting job stinks. But, thanks aout the grouund work...I kind of like how it turned out.
