Unfortunatly my tank destroyer is already finished. The tank itself was done a while ago, but figures and dio took a little longer.
Here's the little story i came up with to explain the scene: while the jagdpanther is loading up on ammo near a farmhouse a photograph asks to take a picture meanwhile, 3 u.s troops armed with captured german weapons because they ran out of ammo for there u.s ones after several days of harsh fighting in the area ( guns include mg 42, panzerfaust 60, kar 96, and figures are the old u.s infantry assault team from tamiya) are getting ready to take out the jagdpanther on a suprise attack. unfortunatly i have no pics of them yet, my batteries died out

Thanks for looking mates, i had a great time building this and iam quite proud of the results, i made enormous improvements sicne my last builds, learnt a lot about painting figures and a lot about painting afv's, and i dried some new things out.

Bye bye
Frank

Hoi Frank,

It looks great! the only thing I would suggest is, do a few more washes and the mud on the wheels should be on the side fenders also, also on the front deck from the tank.

The figs... I'm not an expert but they are looking a lot better then mine!
The mine (that thing on the rear deck) wouldn't stay in that position. It would fall over. So I think the germans placed a mine not like that.

Hope this will help!

I totally agree. I would not for sure let AT Mines just lay around.

Except for the mine I really like your Jagdpanther. Looking forward to see it finished with the American Assault team.

I know that feeling... :-)
But it means you had fun building it!
Looks good! I like the position of the figures aside the vehicle and the green foliage sticking on the front track.
The tank itself could use some weathering like Hilbert sugested.
Are you posting some bether pics when you have new batteries installed? I'd love to see more

Ho Frank! Looking smart! May want to try a little flat coat on those figs - figs shouldn't shine unless they are in rubber (or Leather) :-)

Hey fellows, i too must agree on the mine issue, any clue what i could use to replace it?

Otherwise, thanks for the comments, i had a great build with everyone one who participated in the td campaign. I will be posting new pics in about 2 hours to show the us troops.

The pictures of the commander and ammo were takin in my room without the flash,, thats why there so dark,
and john, as you pointed out the figure is shinny on hte pciture, but thats due to the flash i ussed on that one picture, i jsut freshely applied a dullcoat to one of hte us troops and the camera man.

thanks for hte comments mates, i apreciat them a lot
Frank

Edit: ive got soem more pics for you guys, including hte u.s soldiers.

Two thigns to point out, i do realize the importance of a dust free enviroment when your figures dullcoat is drying:( a well, next time, and anyhow, its invisible to the eye and only shows up with a flash.) Second, im not to pleased with the house, one day when il have more experience and materials, i will defenatly give it another try... i have to admit a dio is never "finished" to me, ideas come with time dont they?

I like the overall layout, and it looks like the build went great but just a few suggestions:

The outside of the house looks very plain, maybe add some shutters, and/or a large sign on the wall, maybe some propaganda.

The inside of the house could use some things too, you can easily scratch build a table out of some balsa wood, possibly put some food on the table? Whatever suites you.

The inside of the Jagdpanther, where the gun is located, isnt painted! its just gray, maybe you could get in there and do some minor details?

Like what I see. A nicely laid out diorama with interesting things going on. Excellent job on the JagdPanther. A couple minor touches like carrying the mud up the front glacis a little and over the fenders. Some weathering on the metal of the exhaust, touch of rust, and a little black in pipes maybe? Very well done overall.

shain, for the unpainted interior, are you talking about the rear picutre? i agree then, i only painted the top half of hte interior, forgot about hte bottom, maybe i can get and ab in there and paint a little...

i also agree with the furniture, but i still need to get around and finding someone near my place who sells balsa, i think i have a clue were, but he closes his shop when i finish work and isnt open on sundays.... i did have in mind to get a table in there, but as you can see it got a little crowded with figures, so i added ammo boxes but you can't see them in the pics.

I also agree about the house being plane, but as i said, im in lack of the proper materials to build a house... i guess its not bad for a first try aint it?

i knew tehre would be something about hte exhaust that would pop up lol, its true, it could use a big of black, but iam waiting to find pastels before i get seriouse abotu weathering... any hints were i can find hte proper weathering pastels?

Francois -

Sounds like you've got a handle on some minor "touch ups" that have been mentioned and will add much to the detail. Most of the "materials" can be obtained at a "Craft" or "Art" type store (here in States, I usually go to "Michael's"). Same for chalks, you can get a cheap set (or individual) artist's chalks at these type stores. Just got a few (Umber, Burnt Sienna, etc.) for myself as I'm going to use them on my Dragon JagdPanther (Early) for TD Campaign.
