Scott. that is what I have in mind....a small balcony, nothing big, just to give the building and diorama something extra.
Henk, thanks for your reply....I'll think about the beer

Martinn its looks very good, i like the overall look of the scene, one thing i would add is a part of upper floor and a sniper sniping same way down the street like the gun barrel is pointed.
Otherwise all going good so far!!!

Coming along nicely, I must try this cork stuff one day. I agree with the carry out idea and maybe have a couple of figures having a sneaky swig out of a bottle. Soldiers always find time for beer.

Hi Martin,
Your progressing very well, I too like your brick work. I am now getting the itch to start a scratchbuilt dio myself.

Yeah you should....now that it actually looks like I can build something acceptable I'm getting more and more fun in this
Well, going outside now....nice weather for building a first floor and a balcony
Also going to paint the figures.....1 commander, probably standing on the balcony to have the best view possible on the enemy forces, 1 loader standing behind the vehicle ready with a grenade, 1 loader standing in the vehicle behind the gun looking over the gun shield and the gunner sitting next to the gun in the vehicle.
There will also be infantry, I've got 5 normal infantry figures and 1 sniper...gotta decide which ones will be included (maybe all)
I changed the MG-34 position btw....it's now a US .30cal machinegun on tripod. I've read the Germans used these things just as well so...

And another update, now with 1 wall "plastered". Hopefully I can do the other walls soon, add interior and paint the whole thing :-)

Never heard of Humbrol Clearfix...but I understand it's some sort of glue which is very usefull for windows and stuff because you can look through it?
I've experimented quite heavily with the stuff when working on my Splish Splash diorama. The splash from the diving mechanic was made entirely of ClearFix. The bubbles are intentional (could have been made clear instead). The substance is very "gooey", and rather difficult to handle. Once you master it though, you can accomplish pretty amazing things!!
Practice (and surface tension) is key!
Looking forward to seeing your finished work!
