Here is Tamiya's Sherman with exxtra goodies from Verlinden, Aber, Eduard, Mission Models, Formations and JR throw in for extra measure. Wrong engine but oh well, I had it in there before I realized it was the wrong one! LOL!

Excellent job Tapper, really nice and together.
Having said that, I think there are a few things that need a little bit of attention, the box and Thompson on the back should not really be loose, unless it's going in a diorama where the reason for this is apparent. Same with the granate on the turret. I love the grass on the front and the cutter, but would add a bit more of that grass around the suspension etc.
The rest looks great, great attention to detail.

Cheers

They will be in a diorama so the stuff placed there are just for show really. I plan on having somee mechanics working on the engine. Kind of a scene where teh tank blew its engine breaking thru some thick bocage.

As attachment what Henk said, I really agree.
But the weapon and box and paper should be more weathered, they were not that clean.

Is that the Verlinden sandbag set? That is one of the best paint jobs I've seen on the molded-on details

You are correct, sandbags from the Verlinden stowage set. Thank you for the compliment!

oh YEAAAAHHHHHH!!!

that looks fantastic that does, hats off to you

the engine....jesus, forget it's the wrong one, looking at that I wouldn't want to touch the model for fear of getting oily hands - the realism of it is outstanding.

Overall this has just blown me away.

First thing that I liked was the mud on the front...it's just done some serious bocage bustings by the looks. Fantastic model

I was going to say all the things I like about it, but that would take too long. Instead I'll say all the things I don't like about it.

That's about it.

Tapper - I generally agree with the comments offered above - but - are you still able to adjust your Bogie Truck subassemblies at this stage? Your road wheels are misaligned and detract from an otherwise nice appearance and display.

Just offering you my thoughts...

If you mean they should be level I was hoping they would be just the way they are since they wont be sitting on perfectly level ground in the diorama. Or did you mean something else?

Exellent work, Paul! Since I'm a bit drunk I will just forget the grenade and Thompson.

This Sherman turned out great I have a question on the tracks Are they supposed to be on backwards? The track pad chevron should look like a "V"

OOH,...
I hadn't spotted the tracks, but don't panick, if you can't turn them around ( which I doubt), when you put it in the dio just add enough mud and grass to hide them..
I'm going to do the same to my StuG, not because I put the tracks the wrong way around but because the quality of the tracks is not very good and I didn't want to spend extra money on this kit.

Cheers

Yes, I meant something else. The Road Wheels do not line up with each other. If you're using Formations Models' resin Bogie Trucks, it is easy to create this problem for yourself as the Road Wheels and Suspension Arms slip loosely into the Bogie Housing. You generally won't experience a problem like this with plastic injection-molded parts, however.

The Road Wheels should all line up nicely behind each other, relative to each Bogie Truck. It appears in the photos that the middle truck's wheels do not line up with the first and last truck's set of wheels.

You did a fantastic job. The grass and dirt on the hedgerow cutter and in the tracks looks absolutely super.

The only thing I would add is you need to somehow replicate the links for the .50 cal ammunition. At a minimum, you should paint a narrow band of black to simulate the links that hold the cartridges together as a belt.

the loose grenade on the top of the turret is sending shivers up my spine. I don't know what you're gonna do with it, but I would want a loose greande rolling around.

awesome painting and weathering job! It's fantastic! Very, very good job, it really looks you took it out of a bocage field!
If you're planning on doing a dio with mechanics don't forget the tools on the tank and some more equipment!
Anyway, Congratulations on this fantastic tank!

Besides the tracks, there's plenty of eye candy on your model that I'm enjoying.

Lots of really nnice stuff happening here. Very good build.
The other guys have pointed out a few correction. Let me add, all that stuff on the gacis is going to go flying when he hits a bump or the hedgerow. Use some thread treated with white gue to tie that down.
