Nice looking build there.. thats the academy kit right..

the tools look great and you have a nice bit of storage without going overboard on it..

my only observation is that for the amount of dirt/mud you have on the running gear and lower hull then makes the tracks look pretty clean...

nice looking build John.. What colour paint/ technique did you use to paint the shovel blade with? It looks like the real thing...

looks good dude. Some things I would change though would be A.whatever the mixture you used to make the mud is showing through the paint.B. also, I would add some more rope holding the stowage down.

Thanks for the comments guys , yes its the Academy kit, the mud I tried to look dry so I dry brushed almost to white to get a contrast with the darker inside of the running gear I usually use wall filler for my mud with fine sand and dried coffee grains from the perc. The tools were painted humbrol steel then given a black wash then I rubbed pencil lead onto it , I find the more you rub that stuff the more sheen you get..The kit does come with both a .50 and .30 and some extra ammo boxes for each i changed the .30 for the one from academys u.s. machine gun set it has more detail the .50 is from the kit

Hi doug my main problems were fiting the fighting compartment floor, the location points were to far back which in turn made the rear fire wall to far back I had to do some serious carving so it and the engine compartment walls would fit. now this in turn made the location points for two of the ammo racks to far apart I had to scratch one and jury rig it but it does not show up too bad.The side wall of the turret was to small and did not fit to the rear wallso that needed filling, not really a big problem. if your careful and dryfit the floor and engine compartment you may spot any problems before you glue. Now on the good side its a nice kit plenty of parts and builds into a nice model (the barrel is crap mines a barrel depot ally one)Im sure you will enjoy building it I used Steve Zalogas building u.s. tank destroyers for a lot of inspiration. all the best.
