This is the AA '67 Cent, after day one. Nothing left now but some of the smaller bits. There was surprisingly little photo etch, but that can be a blessing. I had a few small issues with the kit, but that'll come later.

Wow!
Nice build so far, looks very very clean. Day one? That would be like th equivalent of my day, uh, 24 maybe? I guess I build slow, probably because I get sucked into too much scratch building/modifications. But I haven't built an AA kit before, so that might make a difference :-)
Can't wait too see it done, what else are you adding to it, anything?

it's beautiful!
I wish I could afford one of these but even Legends convesrions for the old Tamiya Cent are too pricey for me.
anyway, looking forward to seeing it done

Nice looking Cent there. I Built one of those earlier this year. It took me about a month to get to your stage!! Can't wait to see the end result. See how it compares to my build :-).

Can I ask a dumb question? Don't laugh!
What's the purpose of that lined board under the model? What am I missing? Do all the cool kids have one? Should I put it on my xmas list? Will I be cooler if I have one? Will it change my life? Will it make me happier? Will my wife love me more? These questions need to be answered! Inquirering minds need to know!

Easyoff, yes to all the above mentioned questions :-) Its a cutting mat. Saves the wear and tear on the work bench. Also useful for parts layout when scratch building. ie. Alignment etc.. "Q"

Tom,
Seeing yours on here is what finally inspired me to purchase the one from AA, to see how it compares to the one I did ten years ago. (in my gallery)
They did a pretty good job.
Had to take a break for a week in Wyoming, but should be able to continue tomorrow. And Smoke, the big pieces always build fairly quickly. It's the rest that'll take a while...
If you think the mat will help with your wife, maybe I need to tell you what she DOES like.
