On my work bench right now - The old (1970's vintage) Tamiya Jagdtiger in 1/35 scale. I am updating the kit with Royal Models, PE set, Aber turned barrel, scratch built details and Friulmodel tracks.

Well I think you have done a great job!
But... It could be me but the barrel is misangled.
I can't wait to see the final result.
Bye Bye H

You are correct. The barrel is a little misaligned in the photo. It is not permanently attached yet and will be removed for painting and then properly aligned for final assembly.

Is the barrel on the Jagdtiger in a fixed position? Does it have to be straight?

On the real thing the barrel has the ability to traverse left and right a few degrees as well as up and down.
