Hi Dave!

This is a great piece of work! I won't talk about the bike (I'm not a specialist) but the food looks awsome! Look at those tomatos, salamis, bread and wine! If this wasn't stolen in a french farm... I only miss the camembert! And the butterfly! Nice poetic touch Dave!

Bravo!

Interesting bike. I must have missed it in earlier threads. What kit is that?

Hey, Grumpster. That is great work. The colors of the food and the dull appearance of the bike offset each other perfectly. It's a great scene. That food looks real!! As a matter of fact, so real that I'm going to have dinner now. You need to do an article on painting different foods.

Thanks guys.
Jean Luc, I made up a few cheese wheels, but they didn't fit in after putting in the other stuff. (I actually went to Italian deli to look at some of the sausages, and cheeses. But they went into the parts draw, can always use them someplace else, along with the extra apples, eggs, and melons, and extra sausages.... :-) :-)
Tom, I also got hungry making the foodstuff. Being a junk food junkie, well you know, the old never shop when hungry, I'll add never sculpt food when hungry...

Alan, it's the Model Victoria kit. I did an in box review here:
https://armorama.kitmaker.net/review/1069

Jay, the foodstuff was made from Magic Sculpt.

Dave, what's the story on those beautiful green bottles? Did you make 'em yourself or are they part of a kit?

I really like it! Its nice to venture outside the realms of armor from time to time. How did you construct the rocks?

Thanks again guys.

The bottles were really simple.
They are the old Verlinden resin set.
First I drilled the bottoms and mounted them on good old fashion toothpicks.
I then airbrushed MM Russian Dark Green on them.
I let this dry a few days.
I then made a wash of Testors(in the little bottle) Dark Red, and applied this to the liquid level, and again waited a few days for it to dry.
I then made another wash of Tamyia Clear Green, and Tamyia thinner, and dipped each bottle into this. Turned right side up, and stuck in Styrofoam block, I wicked away the excess wash from the bottom. I let it dry, and re-dipped several times.
After this dried, I did a final dip in Future, again trying to wick away the excess with the corner of a paper towel.
Labels are scrap armor decal, cut to strips, and used .005 Pigma pens to scribble the writing.

Paul, I spent a semester painting apples, before the instructor would let me in life drawing to paint the peaches...... :-) :-)

Ola Dave

Allie in Shirts.... a very cool model you have made here. Exactly the not often seen stuff I love. Great job. I love the whole setting and the colors that are really Completely opposite to each other. Love the quite simple appearance of the bike and then the explosion of colors in the back of it. Beautifull!!
Love the groundwork as well.

WOW Dave!!

Really love this model!!! Lovely 'countryside' vehicle!!
You wrote you made the fruit and food from Magic Sculpt. They look very good!
Can you tell more about the sculpting techniques for the food? I'm very interested in it.

Paul
