That is very nice, Fordboy. I like the way how you did the waffle zimmerit.
Here are some more tricks.
1} Paint the tool handles Buff. When dry, paint Burnt Umber oil paint on them. Let it stand for five minutes. Then with a dry brush, start brushing away the oil paint away. Do this several times until you can see the "grain." It will make your handles look more like wood.
2) Drybrush gunmetal to the metal parts of the tools such as the heads of the hammer, axe and machine gun. Also drybrush gunmetal on the gray portion of that huge barrel.
3) It's nice but I think it lacks a little more weathering.
4) Lastly, from what I know, Sturmtigers have camouflage colors. WEll, this is from my limited knowledge.
Hope this helps.

Hi Angela
Thanks sovery much for the feedback. I was so excited to get this up and working I meant to add that I am yet to start the weathering etc. My apologies. I want to thank you for your advice on posting the pictures.
I was going to add camo and ambush pattern but the guys and gals at my AMPS reckon it looks so good in sand I should leave it that way.I have a picture of one abandoned in the Ardennes and from the black and white photos its just a sandy colour sprayed thinly over primer.
Thanks again for all your feedback I have added it to my list of things to action.
Warmest regards
Fordboy

Definitely nicely done. I too would probably apply another wash and hope that capillary action would fill up those gaps.
The tracks could do with some weathering as well.
Nicely done overall.

Very nice kit. I think it will look very nice once the weathering is done. What did you use for the zimm or does the kit come with zimm like the Italeri Panther kit?
Cheers,
Ryan

This is one scary shot. I would hate to be the tank commander in the crosshairs.
I like the tank. I think that you did a great jobe with it. My only suggestion is do what makes you happy with it.
Later,
JOHN

Hi Everyone
Thanks so much to you for taking the time to review my current project your valuable feedback is truly appreciated.
I personally found it real hard to put up photos of my work when there are so many great modellers displaying their work on the site. However all your feedback and support has been great. Heck I didn't think anyone woul;d even look at them.
Angela -I will incorporate your comments into my weathering process. The feedback from such a great modeller like yourself is really appreciated.
Jazza - Thanks for the feedback fellow kiwi yes those tracks will get a real hammering during the weathering process
Salvo - The kit like the Panther comes with the zimmerit.
Sonnyboy and the dutchie - The kit is real good and excellent value for money. I have not done the Tamiya kit but I love the Italerei one full interior, linka nd length tracks and zimmerit great value.
oldstl1000 - Yep i just love this kit from the front big gun, sturdy strong construction its awesome.
I think I will build another one but fully detailed out etched out etc at some future date.
Thanks again and I will update you further with more photos real soon I promise.
Regards
