I have the Formations M4A2 conversion and I have been wanting to use this to model a Commonwealth tank specifically Canadian. My problem is I can not locate a good reference picture to us for a subject. Some suggested markings for this would be very helpful I would prefer to model a tank used in NWE but Italy will also work.

I have the Formations kit, the base M10 from Academy to use with it but some advice on tracks would also be good.

Any of you Canadian builders able to give me some sage advice? Specifically I am looking for markings to use, stowage I need to watch for and of course as I mentioned tracks. I think I have a set of Fruilis I got on a bargain bin (T51s maybe?) I cant recall the number now but they are shown on the box art on a Firefly.

Thanks
Rob

have some Canadian Sherman 111 markings, and other info. The site is being transferred to a new server but should be up later. Good service too.

Check through the forums here too:

Thanks guys,

Jim any idea if there is a domestic distributor (ie. US or Canada) for that book? I remember now reading your review of it. I have to train myself to look around the forums here more before I ask stupid questions sorry guys.

Northstar HObbies in the Toronto area usually stock these titles, but he seldom gets too many in. Only 1000 are published, so the supply comes and goes quickly once they are available.

I do the English proofreading for this series and, in this case, the photos of the Canadian M4A2 and the manual images are mine as well. If you can't find a copy anywhere else, I am due to get a few in for my help in this book, so you can email me and I should have some closer to Xmas.

Paul thanks, if I can't source one I will get with you about buying a copy. By the way hows that Ram coming along? I am still interested in building one myself.

Funny you should ask. I have, this very night, finished the two kits that were in the way of restarting the Ram, so it will resume construction soon. A bit of luck and I might have the basic construction done over the Xmas break. Cross some extremities for luck.

Yes, and in Canada as well. AirConection I was lucky enough to buy mine in Poland at an INCREDIBLY reasonable price. With this (apart from a decent book on markings) you really have all you need for the Sherman III.

There is also an amazingly useful BLOG here:

As luck would have it I walked into a local shop the other day to buy a magazine or two and sitting there on the shelf was the M4A2 book. So needless to say I picked it up. NIce reference I just wish there were a few more in action shot of Canadian M4A2s. Thanks for the tip on that book though it will come in handy.
