Well, managed to get some paint on it, and decals.
The kit decals have the wolf facing the wrong way on the right side.
I scanned the sheet, and printed up the wolf's head in a mirror image.
well, this didn't work out as planned, so I then tried it on white decal sheet..... wasn't happy, when applied, a rather visible white outline showed. So I went back to the old days, and broke out the small brushes, and using the images on the clear sheet, proceeded to hand paint the wolf's head. (not really hard to do, as it's a lot like simply doing a coloring book!!!)
Sprayed with clear acrylic from a rattle can, decal turned out really THICK.... next time I'll decant it and use the airbrush for better control.
Left side---- kit decal.
Right side---- my decal.

Looks pretty good Dave.
Did you paint the pic onto a decal sheet or directly to the tank? I am guessing onto the decal sheet. Is it too late to try to trace the outline of the image with a scaple to remove the backing?
It looks like I can see the backing on the right side.
I will refrain from mentioning Gimli...

Dave, Looking very nice...you really do have nimble fingers. Like Ken mentioned..a small frame at the back of the wolfs head. Right side..ear to neck.

Thats quite a fantastically done decal of the wolf. Whereabouts did you get the decal sheets from? I didnt know they sold blank decal sheets.
Honestly though, the hand painted wolf is a nice touch. If you think about it, thats how the soldiers did it back in WWII anyway.

Ciao Dave,
It looks really great! Congratulations!! I really like the Wolf's Head decal. So characteristic! The rough casting job you did really makes it stand out.
